Information We Collect – personally identifiable information
We may collect personal identification information from Users in a variety of ways, including, but not limited to, when Users visit our site, subscribe to the newsletter, fill out a form, and in connection with other activities, services, features or resources we make available on our Site. Users may be asked for, as appropriate and indicated in the form itself, name, email address, mailing address, phone number, company, job title, categories of business, interests related to the energy industry, city, state, and other demographic information. Users may, however, visit our Site anonymously. We will collect personal identification information from Users only if they voluntarily submit such information to us. Users can always refuse to supply personal identification information, which may prevent them from engaging in certain Site-related activities.
Information We Collect – non-personally identifiable information
We may collect non-personal identification information about Users whenever they interact with our Site. Non-personal identification information may include the browser name, the type of computer and technical information about Users’ means of connection to our Site, such as the operating system and the Internet Service Providers utilized and other similar information.

We do share personal information with third parties for other purposes. For example, we share personal information with exhibitors or sponsors if it is part of their agreement with us. These exhibitors or sponsors help us market or advertise to you (including co-branded marketing and advertising) and may also provide products or services to you. You have the option of opting out of these emails. We may also share generic aggregated demographic information not linked to any personal identification information regarding visitors and users with our business partners, trusted affiliates and advertisers for the purposes outlined above. We never display direct contact information, such as phone number or email address to the public. We use demographic information – and interests –to segment our email distributions. We also use this data to produce post show reports, as well as to give potential exhibitors and speakers an overview of who attends our events.
We may use third party service providers to help us operate our business and the Site or administer activities on our behalf, such as sending out newsletters or surveys. We may share your information with these third parties for those limited purposes provided that you have given us your permission.
All our database contacts are shared with the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA), and the Smart Electric Power Alliance (SEPA), as they are the owners of Solar Energy Trade Shows, LLC (RE+ Events). By consenting to give us your information via a webform or otherwise as stated above, you are giving us consent to share the results and contact information as outlined in the specific webform with both SEIA and SEPA. There will be a message of consent on each webform that is submitted, and it is understood that SEIA, SEPA, and RE+ Events can contact you.
Sponsors – which are listed on the website – might receive a list that contains the following: Your first name, last name, job title, company, city, state, and country. We do not give direct contact information and make sure to protect your data.
Third party websites
Users may find advertising or other content on our Site that links to the sites and services of our partners, suppliers, advertisers, sponsors, licensors and other third parties. We do not control the content or links that appear on these sites and are not responsible for the practices employed by websites linked to or from our Site. In addition, these sites or services, including their content and links, may be constantly changing. These sites and services may have their own privacy policies and customer service policies. Browsing and interaction on any other website, including websites which have a link to our Site, is subject to that website’s own terms and policies. Some third-party websites will collect your contact information and share it with us. For example, our current registration company is Convention Data Services. When you register for our event(s), you will be redirected to their website to register. Once you consent to giving us your information as part of the registration process, we will access that data to send you information about the event as well as related information that pertains to your opt-in and registration (event news, company news and announcements etc.). We also send past attendees emails about future events.
Your acceptance of these terms
By using this Site, you signify your acceptance of this policy. If you do not agree to this policy, please do not use our Site. Your continued use of the Site following the posting of changes to this policy will be deemed your acceptance of those changes.
Deleting your information
You are free to access the personal information we have on file by contacting our Customer Service department by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 1-703-738-9460. In addition, at any time you can request that we modify or delete your personal information by sending an email to us at email@example.com with the words “UPDATE MY INFORMATION” in the subject line or by calling us at 1-703-738-9460, pending personal identification verification. Please note that if you proceed with this route, you will not hear from us again, unless you opt-in in the future. We will process your request in 30 days or less.
