John M. Eber, Managing Director, Energy Investments, JPMorgan Capital Corporation
John Eber manages the firm’s activities for tax motivated equity investments in energy assets. He directs a team of 20 professionals who originate, structure and execute investments, and advise other equity co-investors. Additionally, he oversees Energy Investments’ product development activities, management of its investment portfolio and is a member of its Investment Committee.
Since 2003 John has been responsible for approximately $11 billion of renewable energy tax equity including financings for 11,800 MWs of wind power in 103 wind farms in 21 states; 124 MW of solar power in one concentrating solar power plant, 12 distributed generation PV plants and two residential PV portfolios; and 12 geothermal projects totaling 254 MW. John has been with J.P.Morgan and its predecessor companies Bank One and First Chicago since 1988.
John has been a member of the Board of Directors of the American Wind Energy Association (AWEA) since 2007 and is a frequent panelist and speaker for a variety of organizations including AWEA, the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) and the American Council on Renewable Energy (ACORE).
John received a B.S. degree in economics from Bradley University, Peoria, Illinois and a MBA with a specialization in finance from DePaul University, Chicago, Illinois.
